The attached archive contains three files: 1. CIV Commander518.exe 2. Radios.txt 3. FT736R.txt Place "CIV Commander518.exe" and "Radios.txt" in your Commander folder, overwriting the existing Radios.txt file. Place "FT736R" in Commander's SMeter folder. Then 1. run "CIV Commander518.exe 2. on the Config window's Com tab, set the baud rate to 4800, the word length to 8, the parity to 'none', and the stop bits to 2. It may also be necessary to set DTR and/or RTS to "always on"; I don't see anything in the documentation that says this, but some Yaesu radios require it. 3. on the Config window's General tab, set the Radio model to FT736R. "Continuous Freq and Mode Interrogation" should be enabled, but the default 200 ms interval may be too fast for a 736R. In theory, you should now be able to a. set your FT-736's frequency from Commander's Main window b. set your FT-736's mode from Commander's Main window c. switch your FT-736 between RX and TX from Commander's Main window d. view your FT-736's S-meter reading in Commander's Main window (you'll probably need to modify the file FT736R.txt in Commander's SMeter folder to match your radio's SMeter; please send me the resulting file so I can include it in subsequent releases Please let me know how it goes! 73, Dave, AA6YQ
