Recovering a window that is no longer visible on your monitor

To regain access to a window that is no longer visible on your monitor,

  1. if your PC
    1. is not running Windows 7 or later, right-click the missing window's icon on the Windows Task Bar to display a context menu
    2. is running Windows 7 or later, place the mouse cursor above the missing window's icon on the Windows Task Bar, and a set of window thumbnails or a list of window titles will appear; move the mouse cursor above the missing window's thumbnail or title, and right click to display a context menu
  2. if the context menu contains a Restore item that is not disabled, left-click it; alternatively, repetitively strike ALT-TAB until the missing window is selected

  3. right-click the missing window's icon on the Windows Task Bar again to display the context menu
  4. left-click the Move item in the context menu
  5. strike one of the arrow keys your keyboard; this locks the mouse cursor to the missing window's title bar
  6. move the mouse until the missing window appears on screen in the desired location
  7. left-click to unlock the mouse cursor from the recovered window's title bar

If the missing window's icon is not present on the Windows Task Bar and the missing window is part of a DXLab application, then

  1. terminate all DXLab applications except the DXLab Launcher and the application to which the missing window belongs
  2. along the bottom of the DXLab Launcher's Config window, click the Reset button

Note: if you are not using multiple monitors, disable the Use multiple monitors option on the General tab of each DXLab application's Configuration window; this will prevent windows from becoming invisible.
