For DXKeeper to be alerted when an override is modified via DXView, you must be running DXView 3.8.8 or later. 2. For DXKeeper to be alerted when an override is modified via SpotCollector, you must be running SpotCollector 6.7.5 or later. 3. The extension of CQ DX Marathon support to include the direct generation of a Score Sheet in Excel format required a change in the way DXKeeper's Marathon Progress Report and Submission generators are invoked. In previous versions of DXKeeper, clicking the Progress button in the “CQ DX Marathon” panel on the Main window’s “Check Progress” tab directed DXKeeper to generate a progress report for the current year (as determined by the current date-and-time). Clicking the Submission button in this panel directed DXKeeper to generate a submission for the previous year. Depressing the CTRL key while clicking either the Progress or Submission button let you specify an arbitrary year for which a progress report or submission was to be generated. To directly generate a Score Sheet in Excel format, DXKeeper requires the “template” Score Sheet that CQ makes available, e.g. CQ has changed this template Score Sheet from year to year (and sometimes within the year). DXKeeper 11.5.2 provides a new “Marathon Year and Score Sheet Information” window in which you specify a. The “current year” for which Progress Reports and Submissions are to be generated (when not invoked with the CTRL key depressed) b. The location of the “template” Score Sheet for the current year c. Information such as your name, address, CQ zone, and antenna description that is needed to populate a Score Sheet This new “Marathon Year and Score Sheet Information” window is displayed when you click the new “Set Year and Score Sheet Info” button in the “Marathon Bands & Modes” panel on the Configuration window’s Awards tab. The “current year” specified in this new window appears in the “CQ DX Marathon” panel on the Main window’s “Check Progress” tab, reminding you of the year for which Marathon Progress Reports and Submissions will be generated (unless you depress the CTRL key when you click the panel's Progress or Submission button). Clicking the Submission button in the “CQ DX Marathon” panel on the Main window’s “Check Progress” tab continues to generate a comma-delimited file (CSV format), as it did in previous versions of DXKeeper. However, if you click the Submission button without depressing the CTRL key, if the new “Marathon Year and Score Sheet Information” window specifies the location of a template Score Sheet for the current year, and if Microsoft Excel is installed on your computer, then DXKeeper will automatically create a Score Sheet, populate it with QSO information, populate it with your name, address, and station information (from the “Marathon Year and Score Sheet Information” window), and direct Excel to display the resulting XLS file; this file can be directly submitted to CQ. If you use DXKeeper 11.5.2 to directly generate a 2013 Marathon submission in this manner, I strongly suggest that you inspect it carefully for accuracy and completeness before sending it to CQ. Please post any errors, omissions, or ambiguities that you encounter - in functionality or documentation -- on the DXLab Yahoo group. DXKeeper 11.5.2 is available via the DXLab Launcher and via 73, Dave, AA6YQ
