Before installing or upgrading to DXKeeper 16.8.3, 

if you are using Window Defender Antivirus on Windows 10 or Windows 11, update it to its latest malware definition in

This version 

 - removes an incorrect errorlog.txt entry (tnx to Bruce K5WBM)

 - enables the "Default Transmit power by mode" option to correctly handle digital modes with submodes (tnx to David A92GE)

 - accepts a Check command via TCP that filters the Log Page Display to contain all QSOs with the specified callsign (tnx to Irad 4Z1AC)

 - updates the DefaultModes.txt file to specify that the modes VARA HF, VARA SAT, VARA FM 1200, and VARA FM 9600 are valid for DXCC, WAS, WAZ, and WPX Digital awards

 - adds PE to ARRL Section selectors (tnx to Rich VE3KI)

 - assigns Canadian QSOs with the province of PE to the ARRL section of PE (tnx to Rich VE3KI)

 - provides a YASME progress report that recognizes confirmations via QSL card, eQSL, and LoTW; see Note 4 below (tnx to Steve KG5VK and Ward N0AX)

 - updates the Configuration.htm, Import.htm, Progress.htm, and Scripts.htm documentation files


Notes:

1. Update your firewall and anti-malware applications to consider this new version of DXKeeper to be "safe" 

   a. JOTTI virus scan: 0 of 15 scanners detected malware in this version's executable

   b. VirusTotal: 0 of 71 scanners detected malware in this version's executable

   c. submitted to Microsoft for analysis by Windows Defender: no malware detected in this version's executable

4. The new YASME progress report is driven by a YASME.mdb database generated from a spreadsheet published by YASME

   - YASME.mdb resides in DXKeeper's Databases folder

   - DXKeeper 16.8.3 includes the current YASME.mdb

   - your YASME.mdb's date-of-issuance can be determined by clicking the "Database Info" button along the bottom of the Configuration window's General tab

   - when a new YASME.mdb becomes available, I will announce it here; you'll be able to download it via DXKeeper's row in the "Auxiliary Files" column in https://www.dxlabsuite.com/download.htm#AvailableReleases
