== Determining Whether You Need 120 DPI or 192 DPI World Maps ==

By default, Windows displays text and graphics at a resolution of 96 dots per inch (DPI); DXView's standard world maps are sized for this resolution. Windows can optional display text and graphics at resolutions of 120 DPI (125%) or 192 DPI (200%); some users prefer these settings, as they increase the readability of smaller fonts on high resolution displays. If you've configured Windows to use 120 DPI or 192 DPI, you must replace DXView's standard world maps with a set sized for the larger resolution. When DXView's standard world maps are displayed with Windows configured for 120 DPI or 192 DPI, only a portion of the world is visible in the map, and latitude/longitudes specified in DXView's Main window do not match map positions.

=== Obtaining 120 DPI Maps ===

If Windows is configured for 120 DPI, obtain a set of maps size for 120 DPI:

 1. Terminate DXView

 1. Download the self-extracting executable from [[http://www.DXLabSuite.com/dxview/WorldMaps%20enlarged%20(120%20DPI).exe|here]] and then run it

 1. Direct the self-extracting executable to extract its contents into DXView's Maps folder, overwriting the existing files.

 1. Run DXView

=== Obtaining 192 DPI Maps ===

If Windows is configured for 200 DPI, obtain a set of maps size for 192 DPI:

 1. Terminate DXView

 1. Download the self-extracting executable from [[http://www.DXLabSuite.com/dxview/WorldMaps%20enlarged%20(192%20DPI).exe|here]] and then run it
