This release - tolerates connection failures when conveying updated callsign colors to Commander, DXKeeper, and WinWarbler - conveys correct need status to Commander's Bandspread and Spectrum-Waterfall windows for a station needed for a WAZ band-mode (tnx to Björn SM7IUN) - includes Scomm (serial port communications component) version 9.1.12 - adds support for the 2190m, 630m, and 560m bands (tnx to Jim AB3CV) - adds 630m to the Band Filter window (tnx to Jim AB3CV and all poll respondents) - updates the ConfigurationAudio.htm and ConfigurationNotifications.htm documentation files Notes: 1. If you don't have Commander installed, terminate SpotCollector, DXView, and WinWarbler before installing SpotCollector 7.8.3 If you have Commander installed, but haven't yet upgraded to and run Commander 13.1.6, terminate SpotCollector, Commander, DXView, and WinWarbler before installing SpotCollector 7.8.3 If you have run Commander 13.1.6, you need only terminate SpotCollector before installing SpotCollector 7.8.3. 2. After upgrading to SpotCollector 7.8.3, the file "BandModes 2017-12-27.txt" in your SpotCollector folder is a sub-band definition file that includes sub-band definitions for the 2190m, 630m, and 560m bands. It also includes sub-band definitions for FT-8, JT-9, JT-65, and MSK-144. If you're not interested in sub-band definitions for the additional bands and modes, no action on your part is required; you can always add them later. If you want access to these definitions, either A. click the Select button in the "Sub-band Definition" panel (Configuration window, General tab), navigate to your SpotCollector folder, and select the file "BandModes 2017-12-27.txt" or B. if you're managing your own sub-band definition file, copy the relevant entries from "BandModes 2017-12-27.txt" into the sub-band definition file you are managing, maintaining the order of increasing frequency After completing A. or B., click the Recomp button on the "Spot Database" tab of DXKeeper's Configuration window 3. Update your firewall and anti-malware applications to consider this new version of SpotCollector to be "safe" 4. If this upgrade doesn't work correctly, see the "After an Upgrade" section of 5.
