Using DX Atlas with DXView on Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, or Windows 11
As a first step, be sure you are running the current version of DX Atlas, which as of 2024-02-24 is 2.41. You can download it here.
If DX Atlas version 2.41 does not interoperate with DXView, reboot Windows into "Safe mode with networking" and start DXView. If DXView now interoperates with DX Atlas 2.4.1, your anti-malware or firewall is responsible for the failure when Windows is booted normally and automatically starts your anti-malware and firewall.
if this entry appears in an errorlog.txt file created by DXView: program error -2147418113 in module DXAtlasModule.Show: Method '~' of object '~' failed and your PC is configured to automatically hibernate, disable automatic hibernation.
