Errorlog.txt File Entry: Component MSWINSCK.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

This error message means that as you have your system configured, Commander or DXKeeper is unable to install the component MSWINSCK.OCX that it utilizes for network access.

If the message appears in Commander's errorlog.txt file,

1. terminate Commander

2. using Windows Explorer, navigate to your Commander folder, right-click on the entry for CI-V Commander.exe, and select Run as Administrator from the pop-up menu

3. Commander should start with no notice of an errorlog.txt file being generated (because with Administrative privileges, Commander was able to install MSWINSCK.OCX)

4. terminate Commander

5. direct the Launcher to start Commander; it should now start with no notice of an errorlog.txt file being generated (because MSWINSCK.OCX has been installed).

If the message appears in DXKeeper's errorlog.txt file,

1. terminate DXKeeper

2. using Windows Explorer, navigate to your DXKeeper folder, right-click on the entry for DXKeeper.exe, and select Run as Administrator from the pop-up menu

3. DXKeeper should start with no notice of an errorlog.txt file being generated (because with Administrative privileges, DXKeeper was able to install MSWINSCK.OCX)

4. terminate DXKeeper

5. direct the Launcher to start DXKeeper; it should now start with no notice of an errorlog.txt file being generated (because MSWINSCK.OCX has been installed).
