Logging Your Transceiver Information

Suppose that on the Multi-Radio tab of Commander's Configuration window you have defined two transceivers, one whose Name is Icom, and a second whose Name is Kenwood.

Further suppose that you live in the town of Pleasantville.

  1. On the my QTHs tab of DXKeeper's Main window,

    1. define and save a my QTH whose ID is Pleasantville:Icom - you can use the Rig item to more fully describe your Icom transceiver

    2. define and save a my QTH whose ID is Pleasantville:Kenwood - you can use the Rig item to more fully describe your Kenwood transceiver

  2. On the Configuration window's Log tab,

    1. check the Include radio name in QTH ID box

    2. set the root QTH ID to Pleasantville:

DXKeeper will set the default QTH ID by appending the name of the currently-selected transceiver to the root QTH ID, e.g. Pleasantville:Kenwood when your Kenwood transceiver is selected in Commander, or Pleasantville:Icom when your Icom transceiver is selected in Commander.

To make it easy to see a logged QSO's QTH ID item, add the a myQTHID column to the Log Page Display, as described here

The <rig> QSL Substitution Command can be used to include the contents of the Rig item of a QSO's myQTH on a QSL card or label generated from the QSO.
