Managing Multiple eQSL.cc Accounts with DXKeeper

Each account on eQSL.cc has exactly one profile, which captures your station location information and defines your eQSL card. Thus to provide a correct eQSL card and correct award credit to your QSO partners, a separate eQSL account is required for each location from which you operate. You can create multiple accounts on eQSL.cc for the same callsign provided you specify appropriate date ranges and assign each account a unique Nickname.

DXKeeper lets you define multiple operating locations and assign each with a unique my QTH ID that can be logged with each QSO. Your DXKeeper my QTH IDs and your eQSL nicknames do not have to be the identical for each operating location, but submitting QSOs to eQSL.cc will be much easier if your nicknames and my QTH Ids are identical.

Your eQSL username and nickname are stored in the current log file. Thus when you load a log file, the eQSL username and nickname will automatically be set to the values stored in that log file.

Note: If the nickname specified in DXKeeper doesn't match any nickname in eQSL, eQSL reports a No such Username/Password found error.

Uploading QSOs when Nicknames and "my QTH IDs" are Not Identical

Ensure that on the QSL Configuration window's eQSL tab, the Use each QSOS's myQTHID as its QTH Nickname when uploading or exporting option is disabled.

Before uploading QSOs to eQSL.cc, you must filter DXKeeper's log to only contain QSOs from on specific location and then upload it to the appropriate eQSL.cc account; to do this,

  1. log off from any eQSL.cc account that you may be logged on to; this will insure that DXKeeper selects the proper account by callsign and nickname as described below
  2. filter your log in DXKeeper by the my QTH Id for which you wish to upload QSOs so that the Log Page Display displays only QSOs made from that one location; in this example, the my QTH Id K0RC-ND is used to select QSOs to be submitted to the eQSL.cc account associated with the North Dakota Nickname:

    1. click the Adv button on the Main window's Log QSOs tab; this displays the Advanced Sorts, Filters, and Modifiers window

    2. in the Advanced ... windows SQL Query Filters panel, type in the SQL Query expression MYQTHID = 'K0RC-ND'

    3. click the Filter button to the right of your SQL Query filter so the Log Page Display now displays only those QSOs that were made from the K0RC-ND location

    4. verify the filter worked as you expected by looking at the DXKeeper title bar where the number of QSOs in the Log Page Display is shown
  3. Upload those QSO's to the appropriate account on eQSL.cc by doing the following:
    1. select the QSL tab in DXKeeper's Main window.
    2. click the QSL Config button and select the eQSL tab

    3. type the eQSL QTH Nickname associated with the location from which the QSOs were made; in this example, that would be North Dakota (your eQSL Username and Password should already be specified)

    4. close the QSL Configwindow.

    5. On the Main window's QSL tab, set the QSL Via panel to eQSL.cc and then click the Add Requested button

      • when asked if you want to clear the currently filtered log, click No because you want your log to remain filtered by QTH Id

      • DXKeeper will then proceed to create QSL Queue entries for each QSOs in your filtered log whose eQSL SENT item is set to R (requested)

    6. Click the Upload to eQsl.cc button; your QSOs will be uploaded to eQSL.cc

    7. if you wish, you can click the Sync eQSL.cc QSLs to see what new eQSLs have been generated since you last clicked this button

    8. On the Log QSOs tab of DXKeeper's Main window, click the Filter panel's X button so the Log Page Display will show all QSOs in your log

Uploading QSOs when Nicknames and "my QTH IDs" are Identical

Ensure that on the QSL Configuration window's eQSL tab, the Use each QSOS's myQTHID as its QTH Nickname when uploading or exporting option is enabled.

  1. log off from any eQSL.cc account that you may be logged on to; this will insure that DXKeeper selects the proper account by callsign and nickname
  2. Upload those QSO's to the appropriate account on eQSL.cc by doing the following:
  3. On the Main window's QSL tab, set the QSL Via panel to eQSL.cc and then click the Add Requested button; DXKeeper will then proceed to create QSL Queue entries for each QSOs in your filtered log whose eQSL SENT item is set to R (requested)

  4. Click the Upload to eQsl.cc button; your QSOs will be uploaded to eQSL.cc
